RSM C&EI Coach Pair

Chicago & Eastern Illinois 60-seat chair car pair, 460 Vigo Trail & 461 Vincennes Trail (Pioneer Trains Exclusive)

These coaches were built by Pullman Standard in 1946, and were delivered for the brand new streamliner, The Whippoorwill, between Chicago, Illinois & Evansville, Indiana. When it was introduced it featured all the post war amenities including Haywood-Wakefield Sleepy Hollow seats for maximum comfort. The streamliner itself was short-lived. In 1948, the L&N's Georgian and Hummingbird streamliners were extended north to Chicago using this route. Once that happened, this train was largely redundant and the equipment was reassigned to those trains, as well as the Meadowlark in 1949.

This is for both passenger cars being produced in this initial run. Other cars from the streamliner will be offered in the future in order to create a complete train.

This is a prototype model produced for us by RailSmith Models. These are expected in Spring 2027!
